STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP & CONSULTING
BUILDING HEALTH EQUITY THAT LASTS
Twenty years of investment. Gaps unchanged. Across America, communities left behind by the healthcare system still face life expectancy differences of 10–20 years compared to their wealthier neighbors. The difference isn't passion: it's infrastructure. Rooted & Thriving partners with churches, nonprofits, and community-based organizations to build the systems that make health equity last.
Empowering Resilience Through Strategic Health Infrastructure
Cultivating Health Infrastructure to Bridge Wellness Disparities
Fewer than 1 in 10 congregations in the U.S. have the infrastructure to sustain a health ministry: despite being the most trusted institutions in underserved communities. That is the gap we fill.
$2.47 returned for every $1 invested in community health workers: the most cost-effective intervention in the health equity literature.
15–25% higher retention in faith-based and community-based health programs compared to clinic-based programs: because trust is the foundation of behavior change.

Founder & Lead Consultant
I walk alongside organizations building with intentionality, where nothing and no one gets left behind. That sentence took me fifteen years to find. It took WIC and Bon Secours and federal food policy and more than a few rooms where I knew the work could be so much more than what it was. It took watching organizations with genuine heart and real resources not quite reach everything they could be, not out of carelessness but out of not having someone walk with them through it on purpose. That is what I do. I am a registered dietitian and health equity consultant who works with faith-based organizations, churches, and nonprofits to help them build with intention. Strategic planning, organizational assessment, program design, health ministry development. The kind of work that helps good organizations become great ones on purpose.
I believe most of us, myself included, are more capable than we give ourselves credit for, and less capable than we think we are on our own. We were not designed to figure it out alone. We were designed for community. That belief is in everything I do. I am based in Charlotte, North Carolina, a city whose diversity continues to impress me. On Saturday mornings before the house wakes up you will find me in my devotional, or exploring somewhere new with a home project in mind, or just dilly dallying with nowhere to be. When I am not working I am with my family, having as much fun as possible. Rooted. Thriving. Walking alongside. That is the work. That is the life. I am glad you are here.
